The Power of Voice in Communication Seminar Was Held
The seminar titled “The Power of Voice in Communication,” organized as part of the Health Services Vocational School Career Days, was successfully held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:30 AM with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer.
The program began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem. Opening remarks were given by the Director of the Health Services Vocational School, Dr. Fatma Nur Yılmaz.
In the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer shared information on the importance of voice in the communication process, correct and effective voice use, the impact of emphasis and intonation on message perception, and the role of voice on self-confidence. The presentation, enriched with practical examples alongside theoretical information, was followed with great interest by the participants.
The event, which was conducted with the active participation of the students, addressed the power of voice in making a difference in professional life through concrete examples. Following the question-and-answer session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Engin Başer was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a plaque by the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Presented by Ebru Kaya Mutlu.
The seminar was also attended by faculty members from the Vocational School of Health Services, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilay Ildız, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taner Kalaycı, and Lecturer Dr. Büşra İnce, as well as Dr. Nergis Kayacan Başer, a faculty member from the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine.
It was emphasized that such events, organized within the scope of the Vocational School of Health Services Career Days, contribute significantly to the personal development of students, in addition to strengthening their professional skills.
