A conference on "Resume Preparation and Interview Techniques" was held at Gönen Vocational School.
To contribute to the career planning processes of Gönen Vocational School students, a conference on "Resume Preparation and Interview Techniques" was held by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sertaç Ercan, Director of the Career Development Application and Research Center.
The event, held on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 13:00 in the Ömer Seyfettin Conference Hall of Gönen Vocational School, attracted significant interest from students and academic staff. During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sertaç Ercan shared comprehensive information on how to prepare an effective resume, common mistakes in job applications, points to consider during the interview process, and employers' expectations of candidates.
The conference, which provided particularly important information for students who will soon begin their workplace internships within the scope of the 3+1 applied education model, also addressed practical suggestions for situations that may be encountered during the transition to working life. Points to consider for students to express themselves correctly and effectively in interviews, to establish professional communication, and to leave a positive impression on employers were explained with examples.
The event, which continued interactively with a question-and-answer session, provided students with the opportunity to receive direct information on topics they were curious about. The conference helped participants define their career goals more clearly and start their professional lives one step ahead.
In the closing section of the conference, the college's employment success was highlighted.
Speaking at the closing of the event, the College Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Korkmaz, stated that the employment rates of the 2025 graduates are high according to their departments, and that such events aimed at career planning play an important role in preparing students for professional life.
The event concluded after Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sertaç Ercan was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
